You can use CCleaner Portable with PAM and only have 1 Icon on the PAM.
Make an INI named Portable (or it might already exist)
and paste the following into it (delete any other lines if it already existed)
[PORTABLE]
DebugMode=0
CCommandLine=
CCleanerPath=\..\PortableApps\CCleanerPortable\App
IfInstalled=0
Then place all of the other files except the portable.exe into a folder called "App"
Voila!
My old version of CCleaner had a launcher and thus two listed in my PAM, but this new version launches from the single executable.
Thanks anyway.

If you have a local installation of CCleaner saving it's settings to the registry, these settings will be deleted by the portable one. So you have to configure both to save to *.ini to be real independent.
But be careful, you will destroy CCleaner's settings on other machines with this 'portable' one.

Install to a place of your choice. Go into options and select save settings to an .ini file. It will now be fully portable

read, what I wrote?
Sure it's portable, but when you select 'save to *.ini' it deletes the settings of a local installation saved in the registry. So you have to select 'save to *.ini' for the local installation too, otherwise they conflict.
And when you start it on another PC it can destroy the settings of a local installation (if any) by accident.
That's not my understanding of 'portability'.

I tried this software for the first time (version 2 beta) and it is very good. Excellent functionality for free software. It doesn't appear to be Open Source however, so I wouldn't expect it to be packaged in a PA Format.
Yet, following the directions in this thread (choosing the option to create ccleaner.ini) it works great in a 'portable' mode.
Anyone know about this company (Pirform) and how they make their money?
