I've seen some suggestions for portable wikis and after searching the net I have found 2 that I think are the best I found yet. These are personal wiki's and reside in one (!) xhtml file and don't have dependancies on other things. (Some others use perl or python, but not these)
Wiki On A Stick (aka StickWiki)
http://stickwiki.sourceforge.net/
TiddlyWiki
http://www.tiddlywiki.com/
I could not decide which one is better. TiddlyWiki has a lot more options but that also makes th file twice as big and it's user interface is more cluttered. StickWiki on the other hand is much more basic but might be more intuitive. So I would suggest both wiki's to be included.
The problem with these kind of wiki's is that they don't have an executable, just an htm file. Having these in the PA platform needs an exe that starts the html and an installer even which might seem to undermine the purpose of these wiki's.
Well these Wiki's are completely portable as they are and I think both should be included into Portable Apps somehow. Highly recommended!
If anyone knows of similar one file Wiki's (that dont use python or other dependancies) I would like to check them out.
PS. I realise wiki's have been discussed before...
