I have a particular problem with Coolplayer+ Portable.
I was just helping someone on #portableapps out with GnuCash and thought I'd point out some errors I saw:
I couldn't play this game at all because of the colors. I only saw two colors: yellow and everything else.
The solution was to change the background to an all black field and remake the jools to different shapes.
I created some new images, sized and formatted correctly, and posted them so anyone else with the same problem won't have to make their own.
Just copy the files into the JooleemPortable\App\Jooleem\data\marbles folder, allowing overwrite.
Hello,
I started using Pnotes portable and I love it...
In fact, most of my colleagues want to have it on their desktop too
Am I going blind or did someone delete the strange problem with e-sword thread? I was going to post another Bible program that works with portable apps but couldn't find the thread?????
Anyway this program worked off a usb and runs in portable apps - at least it did a year or so ago. It is a basic bible program - not a lot of resources with it.
BUG: PNotes Portable 4.0 - autosave - recovery of auto-saved note(s) fail after unclean shutdown, IF note has NOT been explicitly saved [yet].
First of all I'd like to take the opportunity to give my appreciation to the PNotes developer(s) for the quick response to my request for implementing an auto-save feature for non-saved notes only (thereby avoiding unnecessary writes/wear to a flash drive).
I really like the this mod. but I have found a few things do not work on a machine that you do not have administrator rights. When you make a new category the folder icons will not display. Also once you remove it for whatever reason all the changes you made are gone. This doesn't make the menu mod very portable.
[locked and moved to "Other Apps" as mods are unsupported]
Hello, all!
I run my portableapps from a truecrypt volume, always mounted to the same drive letter.
When I run WinSCP, I noticed a small curiosity. If I am browsing using the local window (left) and choose my portable volume from the drop-down menu (always P: for 'portable' - original, huh?) the window jumps to the path of the WinSCP Portable apps folder:
P:\PortableApps\WinSCPPortable\App\winscp
instead of the P: home directory.
Not a big issue, but does anyone know why this might be or how I can fix it? I get the same response on different OS's.
Is there a way to set dosbox to automatically mount a folder, regardless of the drive letter?
E.G. On my computer, my flash drive comes up as M: but on others it shows as E:. Is there a way to auto mount a folder within the dosbox directory without the drive letter?
For some reason when trying to burn a compilation to disc in InfraRecorder Portable, the burner immediately fails with "Unable to create image file" (or similar wording). Not sure what's going on, because I can work around it by burning the compilation to an image and then burning the image.
This is on Vista Ultimate SP1 (UAC enabled). I haven't tested it on XP yet.
