Other Apps Support (Deprecated)

On the homepage, SpeedCrunch is listed under Office.
But internally (in the App/Appinfo/appinfo.ini), it is filed under Development where it should be imho.
So it shows up in a wrong category.

I hope this is fixed in the next release of Speedcrunch Portable.

Your new home page shows the Dropbox logo. Dropbox is available on PortableApps? Can run a PortableApp off Dropbox?

What does that mean?

I am trying to use GnuCash Portable 2.4.7 on my system (which is set to German language). However, GnuCash Portable always starts in English. It ignores the line "language=de" that I added to \Data\settings\GnuCashPortableSettings.ini

The only way to have it in German is by starting it via the PortableApps Platform Menu. Then the program surface (that is set through the "LANGUAGE=" parameter in nonportable GnuCash) appears in German. The account descriptions (set through "LANG=" in nonportalbe) are still shown in English though.

Any ideas?

Don't go yammering about Beta? Although it is a moving target, one version is always called 'stable'.

(2) When I go to Task Manager, I find 10 - 20 instances of chrome.exe. Is that normal? Is it an artifact of PortableApps or is the standalone like that too?

I recently lost my USB drive and had to start from scratch. I had been using Chromium Portable for a long time and was happy with it.

After the crash I was wanting to get back up and running fairly quickly so I tried out Maxthon. It didn't work well with KeePass (issues with window focus) so I downloaded Google Chrome Portable and went with that.

I had been using it for a couple of weeks until yesterday when I started it up and noticed it appeared to be reset to defaults and my bookmarks were gone.

I have found a large number of additional shape files for Dia at
http://dia-installer.de/shapes/index.html.en
(this is the link to the English page).

There is also a downloadable program to install them, which I sort of tried and did not succeed with. However, in looking at the existing files in my Dia PA installation I figured out how to install the additional shapes. Here's the procedure:
1. at the link above, download the zip file for the shape set of interest.
2. While it can be extracted, the installation can be done without actually extracting the zip.

I downloaded VD, and the plugins pack. However VD will not load any video file - I've tried all formats and it always says MISSING CODEC... sometimes it won't even load the file (as is the case with avi - which I get - there is no xvid codec in the pack, but how about the ones that are in the pack??). At best it would only play the audio.

Checking out the App Directory, and noticed a couple of typos in the descriptions:

Texter - ultility should be utility
DSynchronize - syncrhonization should be synchronization
SumatraPDF/WinDjView - DjVu capitalized differently
FreeCiv - Embire should be Empire

Hi, I'm using the PortableApps Chrome 12.0.742.112, however under Options -> Personal Stuff -> Sync, the sync options/credentials do not save from session to session. ie. if I close Portable Chrome and open it up again, I have to manually re-sync everything each time instead of Chrome automatically syncing in background. Any way to fix this?
