I have just released a portable software to import, export, delete, and rename files in TrueCrypt containers without needing admin rights. This is basically a GUI for the wonderful OTFExplorer by tateu.

I've got a Canon a540 with an SD MMC memory card. But I have no memory card adapter. I can, however, plug my camera into my Windows XP/Kubuntu 7.04 dualboot computer via USB. But I can't actually put any files or folders on it (with my current configuration), only read the files. Any idea on how to put portable apps on it?

I just had an idea.

I think that PortableApps.com could/should offer paid support. This would entice more companies to use the software and would increase revenue for John.
I would volunteer to be part of the support team if this were to happen, as it would help the development of the site (and John would have more time to read his emails ).

I was wondering if it is possible to have on this website a new feature. When one clicks on the "New" link in the posts count column, could it got to the first new post, or at least the top of the page of the last post? That way, one doesn't have to scroll through muleiple pages to get to the new content.

Last night FirefoxPortable and GaimPortbale worked as good as they did the last 4 months...
But this morning neither of them wants to start: there is no welcome screen or picture but the windows error message that the program had to be closed.
The weird thing is that suddenly both programs don't work. I tried to use ThunderbirdPortable which is on the same FlashDrive but it doesn't work either. I tried to copy the FirefoxPortable folder to my HardDrive and start it there but that didn't work either.
Anybody has an idea where the error might be?

I did a movie of using camstudio and vlc from the pen drive I hope this is of use to guys.

Hey, i just bought a u3 drive, I decided to go with portableapps instead. I look up how to get rid of u3 system but keep the autorun system. so i replace the u3 iso with my custom one, and it worked. but when i plug it in, it reads the autorun then it brings up a "no disk" error. but if i hit continue it brings up my appmenu anyway. any ideas?.
