Can somebody please give me the specs for the correct resolution, format, etc required for icons to appear in the PA menu. I have created heaps to apply with my PAC created programs but but none will appear in the menu. Also can you recommend a freeware program to use. At the moment I am using Iico.

Is there any way to add a custom application to the launcher menu? Just as like a shortcut or something. I want to add a few single EXE programs to the menu for convenience reasons. Thanks.

I would be happy to have possibility to set the compression level. No everybody wants the "best" compression (but the slowest). If I have enough space and I care about slower startup of applications?

While making a launcher for VVV i was suggested some things that needed the most up-to-date 'official' template. The template I used was based on a recent released app (sorry , cant remember which) but I get the feeling some functions are missing.

John, can you please point me to the most recent up-to-date template to download and use? I would appreciate it if I could just take a ready to use template with all the most recent script in it.

I know the first thing you get blind on is your eyes, so I might have missed something on the portable applications web site. But is there a portable application for updating and transferring files for a web site that you have. I noticed that FilZilla Portable did not accept http transfers.
Would very much appreciate some help.

When is PortableApps.com Platform 1.5 going to be released. I have heard no official word except "next week". From what I hear John is a busy man......if he is so busy then why not allow the platform team take it over. The latest update was last month and he said he needed to put some finishing touches on it. Where is at?

I was thinking, in the case of the updater, it would be easier for the installers to just extract to the PortableApps Directory with a switch, so that the user doesn't end up with all these installers in front of him. Maybe except the FireFox Installer which would just displays the EULA quickly. It also helps those people that love zips for some strange reason :P. Questions?

I was able to get Alpha Centauri to run off my thumb drive, perhaps it can be added to the games list with the blessing of Firaxis.

It's a hefty size for a portable app though at 137 MB.
