Launcher for Start.exe?

Submitted by Rapscallion on December 27, 2011 - 11:57am

I know this may seem like a dumb request... but I would like a launcher for the launcher ;-). The reason is that I like to pin PAM to my Windows7 TaskBar. Unfortunately since I run PAM from a removable drive, and at times I do not have the drive plugged in when Windows boots. Sometimes Windows either deletes the pinned shortcut, or the shortcut loses it's icon. What I would like is to have a launcher that can stay on my personal PC's so that the pinned shortcut will always be there.

PortableApps.com Companion

Submitted by ASJ on December 22, 2011 - 4:50pm

Hello Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone has received the PortableApps.com Companion flash drive yet. If so, can you tell me if this item is worth the wait? I ordered the 16 GB drive on Dec. 10 and haven't received it yet. I guess it will be worth the wait if it is as nice as the original write ups by John.

Sync Portable Apps.

Submitted by Flametail on December 22, 2011 - 3:59pm

Hi!

I was looking for a way to sync my entire portableapps drive with a central server.

So I could play around on 1 drive, sync any new/changed files and settings up to the server, and sync it down to my second drive when I want to use it. Works good for backups too.

So, any portable way to do this? With a windows server to hold the backup/sync data?

Pretty much what I want to do is something like the Dropbox portable that doesnt exist, but rather than full auto, it syncs when I click the button.

Hello,

I am looking for a "notepad" style portable app which includes "auto save every x minutes" and "backup" features. I downloaded all the apps I could find like akelpad, notetap2, notetap++, but it seems that I cannot find any app which includes both the features.

Am I missing anything? Smile
