Portable user configuration settings

Submitted by unamofa on March 12, 2009 - 6:48am

Hi, I would like to know if there is any portable app with wich I can carry with me my settings.
For example,
If I wanna use MS word in another computer,Could I use my shortcuts created in another computer.
Another thing that bothers me is the bookmarks tab, if I use firefox portable it runs slowler than the one installed on the pc, so how can I put my bookmarks in the one installed on the pc.
Thanks for your help and sorry for my English (not native). If this topic has been already discussed on the forum please let me know where, I couldnt find it.

[IDEA]Organization for Folders in the Menu

Submitted by KilFer on March 10, 2009 - 2:51pm

I would like to propose an idea for PortableApps's Suite:

The App might be organized to the taste by folders, and enclosed ring-finger that they turn out to be some feasible (for being uninstall's)

For example, that the app of OpenOffice and AbiWord could organize in a "folder" inside the menu, the VLC in other one...

That seems to you? Would it be very difficult?

Thank you in advance,

KilFer.

PD: Sorry for my bad english, i'm a Spanish young man.

Is there a longer list of the latest releases?

Submitted by n00b on March 10, 2009 - 1:30pm

I haven't stopped by in a couple of weeks, and now I don't know if anything was released between FileZilla 3.2.2.1 and Miranda 0.7.15 in late February, and Mozilla Firefox 3.0.7 on March 5.

Is there a longer list of the latest releases available somewhere? Or some other easy way to see a list of all Portable Apps with their latest version numbers? Currently I'm not aware of a way to make sure I've got all the latest software without going to the Applications page and one-by-one clicking on every individual app and checking their version numbers against mine.

Portable graphic calculator?

Submitted by temp4746 on March 9, 2009 - 5:55pm

I'm looking for a portable graphic calculator, and one that can also do stuff like showing null points and min/max and all sorts of other stuff not just draw a graph.
Better yet is a combined program that can also do scientific calculations.

Yet i cant manage to find a good program that does this.
PortableApps offers a scintific calculator named SpeedCrunch which is nice but doesnt offer graphic calculation.

Does anyone know of a good program that accomplishes this?
