Installing in portable mode only extracts the installer content and creates additional files that tell foobar2000 to store any configuration data in its installation folder as well as not to alter the Windows registry. Note that it is not possible to edit file type associations with foobar2000 when using portable mode, as that would require changes in the registry.
Note that 0.9.6 is in beta and that 0.9.5.6 is the latest stable version at this time.

Exactly how do I setup to use PuTTY portable to remote connect to my PC at home. I am confused about this and kind of need step by step instructions.

There is a problem that i bring to the table here to day and will like to get it sort out ASAP. As u know out apps has been featured on may websites before and that is all good and well. Not so much when an app is misrepresented by one very highly ranked site.

Just thought I'd suggest adding a category to the apps page.
File management - For the apps like 7Zip, Eraser, PeaZip, Toucan, WinDirStat, Xenon, winMd5Sum and WinMerge Portable.

Also possibly a Messenger category for aMSN, Pidgin, Miransa and X-Chat and other messenger chat apps.

I'm using Portable Firefox and my question is, when I right click and save an item [picture, attachment, page...]directly to my USB drive, is there a copy or trace of it on the host computer I used?

Is it possible to put "folders" in the list of applications? (for instance, if I wanted to group all the openoffice.org into one folder so that I don't have to scroll down every time?)

I can't take mirror from sourceforge, but I need this application and many user in our department used this applications

now I just download it from sourceforge using wget, but this take too much bandwidth and I can't download only the newest version

Hi Im New To Running Applications On A Flash Drive And My Question Is We All know That Flash Drives Have An Amount Of Write Cycles But When Using One Of These Applications Does It Write Anything To The USB Or Does It Just Read And If It reads Only Will This Affect The Life Of The USB????
