If I change from Windows default of 96 DPI to 110, does that affect the displayed pixel size of say, a selected area in a screen capture or drawing?
Like in PicPick or Paint.net?

I can't determine exactly how changing Windows' system DPI setting to a non-default value affects the displayed sizes of objects in screen capture or image editing programs.

Inkscape Portable 0.48.5-1 (InkscapePortable 0.48.5-1) left file in the LocalAppData folder. I found that out from monitoring it with Regshot. How to fix that? There is no nsh setting file included with this release.

I just installed the Clearly addon for my portable firefox (it cleans up a lot of gunk that I don't want, when I save a web page as a file on my computer). I didn't actually want to print it, but simply to save it as a PDF.

Can this be done via portable apps?

Since the last two updates for SeaMonkeyPortable, it is opening up with a black screen. I experienced the same thing with latest updates to FirefoxPortable and managed to turn off hardware acceleration because of my familiarity with it and it's working now.

This is only happening on my Dell Optiplex 390. On my Optiplex 3010, this does not happen and SeaMonkey and FireFox have had no problems. Should I add a better graphics card? I've stopped using SeaMonkey for now.

Has this been reported already?

I'm going to post some modified theme files to my google drive. Here's the link:

Use 7-Zip Portable to extract the archive and paste the 'Graphics' folder into your own PortableApps.com folder in E:\PortableApps\PortableApps.com\App
Then open Options and select you theme! The ones that are modified are:
Classic Dark
Flat Dark
Glassy Dark
Modern Dark
Smooth Dark (duplicate with less transparency than Modern Dark)

How does one unblock portable apps from running. I am trying to run firefox and vlc and the apps will not boot. The portable apps logo will come up along with the firefox picture and then nothing. please help!!!!!

Is there a way to make Chrome Portable launch as incognito by default? Like it can be done for the regular version by simply adding "--incognito" at the end of the Target line in properties?

I created a custom theme but I can't figure out how to install it. I put its folder into the themes folder but it doesn't show up on the menu for me to select it. I did search around the site and the website, but I couldn't find any information on it. I'm using the newest version.

If anyone has any suggestions, I'd greatly appreciate it!

Sorry if this is in the wrong place but I can't find a forum solely devoted to Chrome Portable.

I have Chrome portable configured to be my default browser [on my Windows 8.1 Dell laptop].

My problem is that clicking on certain links does not work correctly. The places this shows up most notably are: 1) links in Outlook and 2) links on the desktop, but the issue shows itself elsewhere as well.

Can anyone tell me how to solve these annoying issues?

I am very grateful that there is the PortableApps.com updater to keep all my portable apps up to date.

However, time and time again I ask myself what is new, updated or fixed with the update, or what issue or security flaw is fixed. It would be really terrific if the the PortableApps.com updater could give us small release notes for each app update, kind of like the Apple Software updater does.
