Is there any portable/open source make video dvd/menus application out there?

Lifehacker has an article on Portable Firefox 3 beta, which is a pretty nice plug for the package.

this is mostly for the devtest template

where it says

<a href="www.somesite.com/downloads.exe">Download</a>

can we change it to

<a href="www.somesite.com/downloads.exe" target="_blank">Download</a>

that way the download page pops up in a new window/tab.
(sorry for the dot, but i could not get the html to pop up without it

Just a quick thought, assuming it is staying, it might be nice to set someone up with the Application Compatibility Page as it is shockingly out of date I would be quite happy to help out with WINE testing in the next couple of weeks, in fact I just went through a few of the pre-releases, and this is what I found:

1. BonkEnc - Seems to run well
2. Task Coach - Crashes at start and writes a log file, definitely doesn't seem to be compatible, although I might hack around as it complains it is missing a dll.

I would like to run portable an application, somehow old thing, dos, but this needs the ansi.sys legacy driver to be loaded.

OK, under dos/w98 it is done in config.sys, I tried to do it under w2k to put it into the config.nt, but nothing works.

Can such ansi.sys driver be loaded from portable device so I could run this utility form other machines ?

Ive been looking for a way of displaying a message to remind me to unplug my portable drive when I logoff. I know from the numerous messages all over the web that i am not alone in this quest!

Ive had an idea, its not quite there yet but it may bear some fruit!

I have very recently discovered PortableApps.com and have found it very useful since then. I am very sure that whoever comes to know about this site/suite, would find it useful much above their expectations. Be it be the Apps or the Community, they are equally useful in their own way. I have been happy so far.

I just logged on and noticed the new forum icons.(they look very pretty, btw)

Anyways, I was just wondering if the icons were the only things changed about the forum, or if there were other, more subtle changes included as well?
