I use both Google Chrome and Firefox on my laptops, pcs, mobile, etc. I have a Google account and I sign in to Google Chrome so that all my various data is synced across my Google Chrome devices/sessions. I also use Firefox sync in the same way.

I have now set up PortableApps on a usb stick (with GChromePortable and FFoxPortable).

IN PeaZip where is the option to automatically delete (or move to another folder) archives after successful extraction?

I just updated PA from 11.something to the current version. The apps I had previously installed no longer show up in the menu. Their folders are still there under the PA folder, but apparently PA does not "see" them.

I have an 8GB Carbide that I recently purchased.

LOVE the product by the way.

I want to know if I can get the software install that came on it, so I can return it to factory new condition, rather than just using the portable apps software. It has a custom menu and other items that I want to keep on my portable apps drive.

Last time (month or two) I cannot update any app on USB using PortableApps.com updater. Every attempt to update (no matter what) ends up with the following message box:

Is there a good portable screencast tool? What do people recommend?

I was a little surprised to log in today and see an add "Sweet Chinese Women Are Ready to Date U". If this had been an e-mail it would have ended up in the spam bucket. It seemed somehow inappropriate for this site.

I'm sorry to be such a dummy, but I don't see how it works.
Here is my objective:

We want to create a web app that can run on the web server software XAMPP on a Windows PC.

We want to distribute the app via USB Drive for use on computers with no (or very slow) internet capability.

I have created a test version on a USB drive with Chrome & XAMPP. When distributed to the end user, how do they access it? Assuming the USB drive is E: on the PC, does the users just type E:(path to app)?

After each update some settings are lost, e.g. "Multi-Instanc" and "Auto-Completion" switch back to default.

How could I avoid it?
