I've just posted a pre-release of Firefox Portable 2.0. This release has many of the same features of Firefox Portable 2.0 RC3. There are a couple additions:

License Agreement Added - The Mozilla Firefox 2.0 end user license agreement is now displayed on first run.

Vista Compatibility - Both the launcher and the installer are now compatible with Windows Vista and should install and run even on a Guest-level account.

As for testing, I'd like to get some folks testing out the license agreement when using an INI as well as when running from CD as I haven't put it through as thorough testing in these scenarios.

THIS TOPIC HAS BEEN LOCKED. PORTABLEAPPS BACKUP HAS BEEN RELEASED.

I've posted a release candidate of the Portable Apps Backup utility I'd mentioned and had a beta release of previously. This is an easy-to-use backup utility (using 7-Zip internally) that allows you to backup your portable drive. It has all the features of Beta 1/2, including:

  • Standard Directory Suport - It supports the standard directory layouts of the upcoming Portable Apps Suite 1.0 release (Documents directory where your documents live, PortableApps directory where the individual AppNamePortable directories live). No configuration is required. The options include:

winLAME

AVE is the AutoStart Visual Editor. It allows you to quickly and easily add, remove or reorder items in AutoStart's inf file. This is the first release but it should all work.

Note that it is only designed for AutoStart generated inf files and may not work with all .inf files.

Get it here.

Enjoy

Steve
