Submitted by sytone on September 7, 2007 - 8:54am

MoinMoin is an advanced, easy to use and extensible WikiEngine with a large community of users. Said in a few words, it is about collaboration on easily editable web pages. MoinMoin is Free Software licensed under the GPL.

Give this a shot, worked for me. Will work on making a better interface for it and embed in a app I am writing called ChunkyGTD.

DVDStyler Portable 1.5.1 Pre-Release 1

I had been working on a portable version of DVDStyler. Someone mentioned it, so here's a test version of it. It lets you create DVD Menus. I'm not sure if the app is fully ready for prime time on Windows... at least as far as burning is concerned. I couldn't get it to work. But I'm posting a test for folks to try out anyway.

Download DVDStyler 1.5.1 Pre-Release 1
(may take a few minutes to appear on all servers)

Please post any feedback.

Next Gen Launcher Testers Needed

I know the title says Next Gen Launchers but thats just a codename I could think of :S really it's just a launcher written in FreeBasic but some feed back would be nice.

So far I only got it linking to Notepad2Portable which I know is already portable but it's a start. There is a registry library for FreeBasic but right now it doesn't meet my needs and hence the reason I picked Notepad2. Later once it matures or design my own library then I'll move into Phase 2 and be considered Beta.

SO enough Jabering on my behalf I'll provide the Download link. My Source is included too Wink

Toucan 1.2 Pre-Release 6 (Testers Needed)

The final pre-release of the next version of Toucan is now up. This has a few new features that have been requested including:

  • Language Support - The pre-release comes with German translations built-in. Just select them on the settings page.
  • Rijndael Encryption - This new mode of encryption should keep data a lot safer by appending an extension to encrypted files. It is also usually faster than the blowfish algorithm that 1.1 used. IF YOU HAVE ENCRYPTED FILES FROM 1.1 YOU MUST USE THE BLOWFISH METHOD TO DECRYPT THEM.

Fonts Portable (Test 1)

This is a program that loads fonts into ram and allows you to use them like system fonts. It does not modify the enviroment and does not require admin privliges. It works in OpenOffice. It doesn't work with all programs though.

Search for free fonts and drop some into Data\fonts. TrueType fonts are supported.

Fix: "Error loading pidgin.dll" in Pidgin Portable (Testers Needed - even if you don't have the problem)

I've posted a launcher which I believe may fix the "Error loading pidgin.dll" issue that crops up on a small number of PCs. I've posted a test launcher that you can download and place in your PidginPortable directory. You'll then need to browse to the PidginPortable\App\Pidgin directory and rename pidgin.exe to pidgin-portable.exe.
