***1.1***
This is a HUGE new release. I have added a date format changed and azjerry has added a long list of new features, they are

- Changed log file to PortaLog.log
- Changed format of log file to single line per entry with header
- Once log file is up to limit remove the oldest entry(s) instead of re-writing the file
- Newest entry now written at top instead of bottom

So I would like to say a MASSIVE thanks to azjerry and I hope you all enjoy it.

OpenOffice: Optimized images need Testing

Submitted by ace_dent on January 6, 2006 - 5:42pm

[Updated 4/7/06 - New 'images.zip' for v2.0.3]

OpenOffice (OO) contains many thousands of .png images used for icons and similar graphics. I've optimised these files using a brute force approach (at points with 5 computers running!). Each image has been compressed with 3x different PNG compression engines and many different methods. I have also optimised maybe a few hundred images by hand- ensuring that greyscale / monotone images do not contain a coloured transparency (i.e. magenta). Throughout the process I've been vigilant to ensure no faults crept in... but nothing in life is 100% Smile

*unofficial* Portable Gaim 2.0 beta 1 *multilingual*

Hi!

I used the Portable Gaim 1.5 beta 2 archiv and exchanced the "old" Gaim with the new Gaim 2.0 beta 1 files and also used the new GTK. It's multilingual, without the spell checker!

You can try and download the Portable Gaim 2.0 beta 1 here:

Use 7-Zip to extract the file. http://www.7-zip.org/

UPDATED: Portable OpenOffice Launcher Beta / Win2K Fixed

I have a test version of the Portable OpenOffice.org launcher I'd like some help testing before releasing it with the new version of Portable OpenOffice.org. It uses a new method to allow saving of settings portably and should now work correctly with Windows 98/Me/200/XP. If you'd like to help test, please do the following:

1. If you haven't already, download and install a copy of Portable OpenOffice.org 2.0 Beta 3.
2. Next, download the beta launcher and replace the launcher within the PortableOpenOffice directory
