I just bought a large SD card. what is the best way to test it and make sure it is as large as advertised and in good working order?

I want to flush out our religion section in Education, so I'd like to do a Qur'an app portably. I haven't found a solid one, but if anyone else has a suggestion that would be great.

Alternatively, we could bundle a Qur'an in PDF with a modded version of Sumatra PDF which could also serve the purpose. The launcher could do language switching as well.

I know that this is a big request? Would it be possible to have at the bottom of each page a hyperlink to the top of that page? Would make it easier to navigate forums for instance I usually peruse the recent posts first, when a post has many replies I have to do a lot of scrolling to get back to the top to hit "recent posts" to view the next topic. Would be easy id I could hit top of page and then hit recent posts.

Hope this makes sense.

I've got ANT Catalogue for my movies and I was just wondering if there was something similar for music. All I keep finding are music players, but I would like to be able to keep information about songs such as lyrics, and be able to do some of the things that can be done with things like MS Access (but without having to set up my own db).

It is my first computer since discovering portable apps, I have many on a flash drive that I used because I did not have anything to install what I want onto.
I was looking for opinions whether I should now install all my favourite apps or just copy the portable apps folder onto my laptop and run them from there as if they are portable?
Which method would be better? I get the privacy from the portable format or the full install will give me full integration.

Does PortableApps already have an official web badge or "antipixel"? (I don't see one on the "press room" page).

I created one just for kicks and wondered if it would be okay to use it, say on my website for example?

I'm just a bit curious.

If I have this right, alot of the PortableApps launchers when initiated, inserts things (settings and such) to the registry. Then when you close the program in question it then deletes those changes that it had made.

Doesn't this cause registry fragmentation? And since it's doing it every time these programs start up and close out, isn't it happening an awful lot? I thought registry fragmentation was bad, and, incidentally would be an undesirable change to the host system which the programs in question had been run on.

Is this not the case?

I think File Management should be a standalone category in the application directory. This could then have File Compression & Packaging, File Managers, Others and Synchronisation (Australian English :p) as sub-directories.

This would also break up the Utilities listing as well.
