Yes, I know this was addressed many times, but I couldn't find an answer to my question elsewhere. I had recently looked on the Mozilla site for a manual configuration technique for Java, and found:

Workaround if Java is not detected - Advanced

On most systems, the Java plugin files will be detected via plugin scanning if the
required registry entry exists (see above) and the currently-installed versions of
the Java plugins will appear in the about:plugins listing. There may be some cases
where Java is not detected unless the Java "np.dll" plugin files are copied from

Mcafee detected registry.dll as virus

Submitted by ShaJunxing on October 29, 2007 - 11:30pm

My Mcafee version is 8.0i and it was updated yesterday, virus definition is 5150, created on 10.26. While opening some portable apps such as putty, audacity, mcafee will alert that registry.dll is a virus "Generic StartPage.r", The file is located in temp folder. I believe it is used to save and restore registry settings and does mcafee make a mistake?

Hi all,

there are some threads in the forum about this, but I miss numbers in them. People write 'fast', 'slow', but I'd like to know about the speed of the different models in a more precise way.

For example, for my two 2Gb keys, HDTune gives the following values:

HD Tune: Intuix U3 2Gb
-----------------------
Transfer Rate Minimum : 3.1 MB/sec
Transfer Rate Maximum : 12.4 MB/sec
Transfer Rate Average : 12.1 MB/sec
Access Time : 0.4 ms
Burst Rate : 11.8 MB/sec
CPU Usage : 15.5%

HD Tune: Oki 2GB

How to change path for "Music" "Movies"...?

Submitted by Mikeyy on October 27, 2007 - 10:11am

I would like to change path for Music, Movies and Pictures buttons in PA menu since I don't want those directories to be in root menu. I usually keep them in Download directory in which I store all that I carry arround.

Is there a way to change paths for those buttons so they point to /download/music for example?

Thank you.
