hi john,
need idea for laptop.
which latitude did you get and how much?
million thanx!
any ideas of a portable feed reader of online feed reader without registration?
have to go forward somehow as rssowl stil not unblocked for finalization!
thanx!
is here a guide for creating portable apps?
thanx!
I have a Dell i5 Win10 Pro.
I loaded the Google Chrome portable. I had relative ease in getting a tile on Start Menu. But I have tried everyway, (had pc's since the last millenium. I'm old) and I can't find a way to get chrome on taskbar to stay. I've tried every door, backdoor, elevator and ladder and I can't find a way to get it to stick .. or even make it to the Taskbar. Oh, for the old days where you could drag an icon to the Taskbar. Am I dreaming or did we have those days. Anyway, how can I get portable Google Chrome on the Taskbar, if there is a way.
What's happened to the RSS Feed? Hasn't worked for a month or maybe longer.
All it shows is RSS Feed failed to load. After many, many years I need it back.
Bill
Tried to open it yesterday, realized it was missing from the platform, but v1.53 was still shown here. Now, it's been updated top 1.55, but still not available in the platform.
I just participated in another thread during which I noticed that I needed to edit my "signature", but I couldn't find a link to my account, until I logged out and back in again.
Am I missing something?
Please remove the "Sage extension for firefox" application from the RSS readers section, because the download link is no longer available or working.
edit: make some parts bold
it's not (yet) an app request.
trying to find a lean rss reader as my old is trash.
don't know if we can finalize rssowl which i only heard good things about.
i stumbled upon makagiga.
it's not clear to me if it's portable.
not sure if it was portable or had also a portable version (by developer).
i found different info on the net.
the developers site tells the the installed version can be run portable.
Do I have an understanding problem?
By looking for portable apps I stumbled upon different ones?
I think it's about 3 to 5 types or so.
I will try to explain or give examples and hope for explanations.
What it says:
- native portable app
- exe file with portable option
- Installed version can be launched in "portable" mode as well
The 3 are what I can remember at the time.
I think only John knows all types and the differences as he is since 20 years in the topic.
I hope for explaination / clearence.
Thanx!
