I am a private user and want to use AquaSnap at home.
I have two monitors but AquaSnap requires to buy the pro version to support multiple monitors.

Is there a free alternative to AquaSnap that spports docking windows to the edges of multiple monitors?

For instance, Spybot is in free edition. Should I use the pro edition at work?

I have a license for TreeSize Pro. Is it possible to upgrade/replace the free version with my Pro version?

I use a program from BitDefender that installs a malformed autorun.inf file that prevents any and all windows based programs from altering the file.

I have all my USB drives protected using this program. The issue that I am having is Portableapps will not run with this file installed on the USB thumb drive or USB hard drive.

I would like to know if it is possible to somehow stop the platform from showing a preview when you hover over the taskbar icon?

Firstly, I'm not even sure this is possible -

I would like to set up my windows 8 desktop PC at home as a VPN server, and then at college use my USB stick with portableapps on it to launch apps such as firefox, thunderbird etc, using the proxy/connection settings which will connect them to my home VPN, and then allow me to access the internet freely via this method. Is this even possible?

FBreader will not do the trick since it wants to insert a book into a manager or library. What I need is a simple, robust solution like Foxit for PDFs: I click on the ebook and it launches it, does not want to arrange it. (Or maybe I need to launch a separate file in FBreader as well as Calibre's ebook-viewer.exe.

Sadly, the ebook reader in Calibre crashes under a 40 MB .mobi, which otherwise works fine on my Kindle. Any other ideas?

I was wondering if there is a way to have the PA.c Suite find as you type. By this I mean if you have the PA.c suite open and you start typing "foxit", it will search the portable apps menu and find it right away without have to go to the "Search" | "Search Installed Apps" option.
