Thank you very much for Workrave. The BEST program you have ever made available here!
I have been using 2.0 Beta 5 happily for some time, but over the last few days, The 'Check for Updates' always reports that there is noting new.
I have had to manually install Notepad++ , LibreOffice , Filezilla & Google Chrome Beta 11 that have been released recently.
Noting else (I know of ) has changed at my end ????
Well I have waited 8 weeks and gotten no further replies to a previous posting I made about a problem I am experiencing with Thunderbird. So I scoured the PortableApps website for a bug report mechanism and was unable to locate one. SO... How does one report a bug? If the only way to do so is via a posting to a forum, then what guarantee is there that it will be addressed and tracked? Why not set up a Bugzilla or use some other more formal mechanism?
Hope your trip was uneventful, I heard that there were tornado warnings down in Florida today, while up here in Maine we are expecting 8-14 inches of heavy wet snow.
Once again I hope the subject title conveys the idea, but for those who don't get it:
I've installed almost every PA.c app available (except for most of the games) and just about as many unofficial portable apps (Piriform etc.) and by now the app list is getting pretty long. I use favorites to have my most used apps available at the top of the list as well as the arrows at the top and bottom of the list to jump a full page up or down to get quicker to those apps not among my favorites, but it's still a bit slow and inneffective to get to an app far down the list.
I was looking at the addons that are similar to Zotero, The page for Zotero that tells about it does not seem to do it justice and tell or show the features I have on my version. Anyway anyone have good suggestions or better choices for something like this or is it Zotero is the way to go ? My College kids use need these types of things.
I guess the subject title says it pretty well, for those that don't get it I mean:
This is my question.
Hi all,
I have MANY PortableApps programs that I run from my HDD and I was wondering if there is a set of certain folders and/or files that form the basis of the PortableApps format that I can delete since I am running from my hard drive and without a menu system?
Am trying to save as much space as possible on my disc!
Thanks a bunch!
Sincerly,
Cindy
