What Is a “Portable” App, and Why Does It Matter?

Some people may wonder What Is a “Portable” App, and Why Does It Matter?

I search for the answer, and get the answer below:

Portable applications offer some definite advantages over their traditional counterparts. They’re lightweight, and they allow you to move between computers while taking your apps and settings with you. Here’s why they’re different and why they’re sometimes—but not always—a good choice.

Anymore to add??

Is there a way to know which apps are from PortableApps and which aren't?

I have multiple apps that are portable but aren't downloaded from PortableApps. The problem comes when I get a new version prompt, I don't know if I should update it with the app updater or wait for PortableApps to create an update themselves. It would be easier if there was a way to know if a software was downloaded using the platform or not (I used to use the "Portable" word in the name of the folder, but I think there are some which don't have the word in it and were still downloaded using PortableApps). Does anyone know how to work around this?

Spark is limited during using your PC.

My computer has been used for about two years. Every time I plug in the power plug, I need to short the three pins of the power plug and then plug it into the socket. At this time, I will hear a "pop" sound, accompanied by electric sparks. Appears, and the computer starts normally.
If you do not perform the above operations, the machine must freeze when booting.
Anyone knows what is the problem with my computer?

What would happen if I plugged a stick with PortableApps into my phone?

So I have a USB stick with USB A and C on it, so I could bring files between my phone and PC. If I was to plug the flash drive with portable apps installed on it into my phone, would it possibly break my phone, or maybe try to run portable apps on my phone? I'm just wondering because I wouldn't want to find out the hard way.

I just noticed 3 things today related to with this app. It had been a while since I used the software due to trying to switch over and learn Linux. There is a new update, but the release notes do not discuss these items. I know John and company vet everything out, which is why I ask
1) The last time I updated, the privacy settings reverted to being checked {To disable usage data sharing 'Options' - 'Privacy'}. Is this a new PIRIFORM thing to reset the setting even on portable apps?
