Hi,
When Skype started the first time, Windows 7's default firewall ask me about allowing Skype. But to allow it, I needed for admin password. So why that it should be like this? There is no another way to start Skype without admin rights? Pidgin, Firefox, Chrome and others use internet too, but they don't need admin rights.
The firewall question is here: http://s13.postimg.org/f1fy0c76f/image.png
If I don't allow Skype works properly (as I see). But why it needs admin rights?
Thank you
I would like to save Mozilla Firefox to a USB Flashdrive but doing it for the first time. What is the minimum USB size that I should use and how easy is it to save to the USB - I have downloaded Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome to my computer but cannot recall being asked where I want it to be saved.
Thanks to anyone being helpful.

I wanted to have a discussion on the state of Windows 2000 support and whether it is worth continuing the limited support we do offer.
Background
Windows 2000 was fully discontinued on July 31, 2010, nearly 3 years ago, when Microsoft ended the extended support phase. No new security patches are issued for it. Windows 2000 shows up with 0.05% of the market according to NetMarketShare (as of 5/31/2013).

This has happened a few times over, and it keeps happening. Whenever PA.com sees an update for Google Chrome, it starts downloading (and steal focus!) only to discover that the update is "not valid and cannot be installed" by displaying a message about it (and stealing focus a second time!)
Again, this is not the first time. This appears to happen at each major release for Chrome. If the download is corrupt somehow, please fix it. If the download is not there yet somehow, don't update. Either way it's bothersome...
The support link from the help menu opens with Google Chrome. That's not my default browser, so please open web links in the default browser, instead of arbitrarily in a different one.
Links from other Windows applications do open in my default browser, so it's not system config at fault.
Windows 7 x64 SP1, Opera 12.15, PA.com 12.0 beta 2 (auto-update is enabled, so I have to assume this is the latest version).
hi ,
When PortableApps platform Application is started I want to start some set of applications automatically.
is there any way to do this ?
For those that can't afford a $90 flash drive there is a 4GB version for $65 here: http://www.apricorn.com/products/hardware-encrypted-drives/aegis-secure-...
It appears to have the same security as the Carbide one. And while it doesn't have PortableApps on it adding them shouldn't be difficult.
