I mistakenly made a booboo on a file I should never have opened. I'm questioning the stability of this install as getting weird opened programs (eg. winrar has 4 processes -- and several weird errors after opening archives).
Hi
I just wanted to know that whether portable apps can be used on
flash card such as microSD and others. Using this flash card along with multi card reader in a computer can portable apps work same as on a pen drive.
thanks
The homepage news says that the menu beta is beta 1, and the post says that the PA updater was left out of Beta 1 (which is correct) and will be in beta 2. The forum beta release is Beta 3, and states that the updater will be in beta 4.
Edit: Removed the MyDefrag/JKDefrag point. (I haven't been on the forums in quite a while, so I forgot to search)
There seems to be a problem with posting to the forums and the new spam filtering. John has been informed, please be patient if you are having problems getting your posts through.

Hello,
PortableApps is just flatout an amazing tool! One problem I'm having is getting the new icons to show up after I've installed new apps, such as GIMP, Putty, etc. I click on refresh in the settings menu, and nothing happens. Using this on a Win7 64-bit machine. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
If I browse manually to the apps, they run perfectly fine.
Thanks in advance!!
I like to keep my RSS feeds as pulldown lists on my Firefox bookmark toolbar just to keep track of sites casually. It's not an emergency if I miss anything so that's fine, but for some reason the PortableApps.com RSS feed does not update automatically. It only updates when I tell it to with a right-click Reload Live Bookmark.
Normally this might go into the Firefox forum except that every other feed works fine. Do others find they have problems with the PortableApps.com RSS feed specifically? Or is this something I really should put in the FF forum?
Thanks!

I believe that I have seen some references to Delphi programming so I thought this is very relevant:

A few statistics: A few hours after VPS update 090818-0 (contains detection Win32:Induc) we received hundreds of suspected “false positive alerts” – all of them were infected. In the last 12 hours (since VPS was released) avast! has found ~200 000 infected files.
Hi All,
I was hoping to skip Vista and go directly to Windows 7, but got a bargain notebook that I could not pass on.
The migration from XP to Vista Business was not as smooth as I was hoping for and thought it a good idea to have a post on it. The idea being to make it easier for others who will be migrating. I would also imagine some of these guidelines would still be relevant when migrating from XP to Windows 7.
