I have had interest from multiple people and now one developer about Saferfox.
Saferfox is a failed project that never got started. It was designed to be a portable extension for parental control.
If I can get a few more developers, we can get underway.

Hey everyone.

Earlier I had some trouble with the fact I wanted my USB HDD Mounted at on every PC I used (several). With some handy tips from the folks on this board and a little bit of research and some practice, I've made a simple batch file that does this for me, that I put into an autorun file. I would like to share this, as well as the other file used ( a link to it) which was shared with me.

I think things would be smoother for you if you could disable the post comment link on the pages that you post a Story. You are getting support questions in those stories.

I've begun the process of localizing the non-multilingual apps with a post of what needs to be translated in the portable apps development section. As I'm looking for non-developer help to fully realize this, I'm making a post in the general forums as well. Install Ubuntu v5.10 to USB Drive! Works on Flash Drives and HDDs.

I just installed this, and the tutorial was great. Very easy to follow.
I now have ubuntu on my USB HDD, and a 60GB FAT32 Partition for Shared use between it and Windows Boxes (had to customize the partitions, just resize). I've booted from a couple of machines, and it worked on both. I write this from inside ubuntu.

How does this relate to portable apps? Install wine and you can use many of them. I know have a whole system with me, usable in school as 'Nix or on Windows Boxes.

I'm looking for a whopper (2GB+) U3 drive that's fast and works well with John's PortableApps. Anyone have any suggestions?

Can you put english-only versions up with the multilinguals? This would save some space on USB drives.

Hey All,

I finally got my WD 6gb Pocket Drive and absolutely love it. I love having an actual Email Client everywhere I go, rather than relying on webmail everywhere. The PFF is awesome.

However I am looking for a simple way to back up my USB drive on a near daily basis. Currently I've been simply copying the entire drive to one of my hard drives as a folder USB Backup each day, but the number of clicks, etc. is number.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Also on a side note, I'm having problems with PFF and Profile Sync such that I setup PFF the way I want (bookmarks and all) but want it to sync with my newly installed Mozilla FF. But nothing happens after it says it updated. Any thoughts?

I'm looking for a desktop program with some features, can anyone give me some suggestions?

Features:
1. Create a virtual desktop with wallpaper from flash drive.
2. Customizable favorite folders and shortcuts on desktop, including both relative and absolute path. Softwares like ms office which most people have can be run from the local computer.
3. Switch the local desktop and your desktop.
4. Customizable workarea. You can set some space for showing widgets, and maximized windows won't cover this space. DesktopCoral(http://www.donationcoder.com/Software/Mouser/desktopcoral/index.html) does this, but only does this, too.
