GoogleChromePortable 108.0.5359.72 online.paf

Submitted by Cartel on May 18, 2024 - 12:25pm

I'm having issues with chrome portable legacy 109 pinging and getting blocked in my firewall (because I block all ICMP) on every link I click with it. I would like to try version 108 but when I try to install it it says error downloading 404

Is it not possible to get a previous version?

thanks

Notepad++ Launcher has bugs

Submitted by At Libitum on May 13, 2024 - 11:00am

There's a couple of bugs in the launcher that are to put it mildly, annoying as all heck.

When you use the plugin manager to install/remove a plugin and have the "Customize Toolbar" plugin installed. Any customization to the toolbar is always reset.

Likewise if you have the DSpellCheck plugin installed, the libraries are gone afer a relaunch.

After installing/removing a plugin, I have to relaunch Notepad++ two additional times after the initial relaunch to get the Plugins Admin menu option back

VLC xspf file path not relative

Submitted by Jim_Norman on May 8, 2024 - 8:59pm

I am finding that the VLC Playlist file (.xspf) contains an absolute path which will not work if you use the USB flash drive on a computer where the assigned drive letter is different. I tried several changes to the path and none worked. I searched for this problem and I only found posts from 2008 and no solution. Is there a solution to this problem?

Thanks.

Download Button Ads on Download Page

Submitted by trinsic on May 6, 2024 - 4:04pm

I am a supporter of the Portable Apps Platform. Today I had a really hard time finding the download link for the apps platform because the advertisement spam (download button tricks) is really out of control. If you guys need more money, let me know, but the current ads are unacceptable on the download page. Please let me know if these can be remedied.

Installing Apps: Agree Prompt Window Issue

Submitted by MarcusAD79 on April 19, 2024 - 10:54am

I'm not sure this is something that can be done, but is there a way to have apps that require the user to agree, to be the first ones installed when installing multiple apps via PortableApps > Apps > Get More Apps or when including apps to be installed when first installing PortableApps?
I ask because in the last few days I've somehow had the Agree prompt for Google Chrome end up behind the installer progress window twice.
Just now I sat for over 1.5hrs watching the progress window installing Google Chrome as the 6th of 9 programs I was installing.
