Inssider (alternative to NetStumbler)

Submitted by hm2k on October 7, 2008 - 6:33am

NetStumbler is a tool for Windows that facilitates detection of Wireless LANs.

NetStumbler has had some coverage on this forum before: https://portableapps.com/search/node/netstumbler

However, NetStumbler has it's fair share of issues including: It does not run on Vista, and it is not Open Source.

Enter "Inssider", which was created as an open-source alternative to Network Stumbler.

It's interface is nicer than the similar open-source Kismet.

NetStumbler/Inssider is yet another one of those important network security applications that is a must for any network administrator.

If at all possible, please, please, please add FreeMind to the PortableApps list of applications. I note that you do not have any mind mapping software.

Thanks. I love portable apps.

Portable Address Book

Submitted by marthazim on October 5, 2008 - 2:45pm

Could someone please develop a portable address book with person's name, spouse's name, children's names (up to 10 spaces), business name, business address, personal address, multiple email address, website URL, home phone, business phone, multiple mobile phone, birthday for each person, and notes. Catagories and Sort capabilities for those catagories would also be quite helpful. An import from a spreadsheet, and export to a spreadsheet would be great.

Description:
Diadem of Maunstraut is the first full-length English fan game made with Sword of Moonlight: The King's Field Making Tool. It is a first person perspective action-RPG with a dark medieval setting. It is traditional to the King's Field series only in controls and certain enemies, items and equipment; the story and concepts differ as a fan made game.
