Just an idea. Has anyone played an addicting but small-sized game? Like Civilization III? Well, the sizes are small and it can fit on a drive. Except for licensing, it would be possible to create a game that saves everything on the drive. Not even needing a CD. As far as I know, Infogrames and Firaxis are small companies. Maybe a licensing agreement could be met for these addicting Civ games???

Virtual CD /DVD

I would like to see a portable app that can mount disk images and create disk images. The program would have to create a virtual CD/DVD Drive and emulate the cd encrypt schemes so that the programs would function properly, ala Alcohol 120% or daemon-tools.

Also the program should be able to make disk images from either a disk or be able to create new ones from files, preferably in the ISO standard

I have not the slightset idea how to make a program portable. I've looked at the guides an steps that alow you to do it. But I just get lost. So I thought that some one could help me by making a program that does this for you. IF anyone has done this or is willing to do this I along with others would be most grateful. thank you

Looking for a portable PIM

Submitted by ZsasZ on January 9, 2007 - 1:49pm

I'l looking for a PIM to use with PortableApps. I'm currently using EssentialPIM Pro. I like it, but I'm trying to keep all my apps Open Source if possible. Anyone know of a PIM that is Portable, Open Source, and allows you to define your own categories? Thanks!

Portable GIMP 2.3.x

Ever since Portable Gaim beta came out, I've been waiting for Portable Gimp 2.3.13 (or whatever version). The betas of GIMP add heaps of needed features, and are actually quite stable. I don't know what I'm doing, but I wouldn't guess that creating Portable Gimp 2.3.13 would be too hard, considering that you've already created Portable Gimp. A couple version ago, I tried compressing an install of Portable Gimp 2.3.x with UPX and copying it over, but it didn't work.
