i just downloaded µTorrent and installed it to a folder in my thumbdrive. i set it to 768k internet speeds and the desktop as the default download location. i ran it on a machine i know does not have µTorrent already installed and it works.

did i just make a portable app? or do i need to configure some more stuff?

Hi everybody,

I've done a little test an it's running. Yesterday I build a "run from anywhere, anytime"-package of Trillian Instant Messenger 3.1 Basic.

It's possible to use it with USB-Stick, from CD-ROM and so on ...

Check out and try it:

There is also the GNUPlot application for science and computing. This is an open source application for plotting and simple math.

As it's a zip file, you don't need to install on PC, it's almost portable Smile

Portable PuTTY

Yes, I know about PortaPutty, and it rocks.
But what I am requesting is a PortableApps installation package. That way the .putty dir is hidden away in the PortableApps data section.
I cant really figure out how to make the package myself (using the Sudoku package as a guide)
Perhaps someone who knows what they are doing could do this and make thousands happy!
