Got a suggestion for an app that should be portable? Post it here.
Hi guys
I read previously that you were not going to attempt to portablise InstantBird as you already had Pidgin and Miranda. Also that it was not very actively developed.
I see an update now ( http://blog.instantbird.org/n39-status-update-february-2011-march-2011.html ) and wondered if you'd reconsider this?

new version of FreeCommander (FreeCommander XE) is available on official site http://www.freecommander.com/fc_beta_en.htm
it would be nice to make it portable...
I noticed the release of Popman with interest.
It is a good program which I have tried in the past, however there is another & much better option - Pop Peeper!
It has been discussed briefly in the forums a long time ago but then has been forgotten. I have been using this (portabilized with JauntePE) for a long time and feel that others might be surprised at what it can do. Maybe someone might want to put it int PAF format.
Essentially, it is Freeware & much smaller than Popman, and not only does it check pop & imap, but will check Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail and Opera mail.
Please add Scan Tailor as officialy supported application
http://scantailor.sourceforge.net
Scan Tailor is an interactive post-processing tool for scanned pages. It performs operations such as page splitting, deskewing, adding/removing borders, and others. You give it raw scans, and you get pages ready to be printed or assembled into a PDF or DJVU file. Scanning, optical character recognition, and assembling multi-page documents are out of scope of this project.
A portable desktop environment would be very useful since I have to work on multiple computers during a typical work day. Something visually similar to WinXP or Win 7.
Anything in the works for a portable key scrambler similar to what is available at http://www.qfxsoftware.com/index.html
It's just a thought. It's open source, but it requires a restart (I only log out and log back in). My idea is that instead of restarting it could simply shut down explorer.exe and start SharpEnviro. I'm not sure if it is that simple though... Either way, it's just an idea. Oh, and http://www.sharpenviro.com/wp/
Hi, I'm looking for a software to manage image files by keywords (with filter options etc). Portable would be great, but I'm open to suggestions that would allow me to use the image database on multiple devices (by syncing it).
Thanks!
In my opinion, Cool Reader would make a great addition to the portable suite.
CoolReader 3.X is free open-source (GPL) multiplattform eBook Reader under active development.
