Moon Secure Antivirus

Submitted by Mephaistos on February 4, 2008 - 9:21am

Hello folks,

first of al a heart-meant 'thank you' to all you guys creating these great portable applications Angel

I was browsing on sourgeforce, and I found "Moon Secure Antivirus"...
Since I am kind of into having as much protectionprograms as possible, I was wondering if this app might be made portable.
I kind of doubt it myself, since I don't know how well the built-in firewall can be made portable..

Besides, does anyone of you have any experiences whatsoever with this program, or any known bugs that I should be aware of?

Chandler

Name: Chandler
Website: http://chandlerproject.org/
Description: PIM, Email-Client, Calendar, Task-List
License: It says Apache Software License, Version 2.0. Thats Opensource, isn't it?

It would be cool, if someone could make that one portable, because is think there is a lack of portable PIMs. Thunderbird + Lighting is kind a poor, and Spicebird not ready, yet.

Hugin Panorama Photo Stitcher

I'll keep this short and sweet.
Hugin is a great tool for stitching together multiple images into panorama views, as well as removing perspective distortions.
It works great (I'm using it to make accurate photorealistic textures for buildings in Sketchup)
It's Open Source, available on SF, and even comes in a handy-dandy no-install zip format.
In its current form, it writes to the registry.
It's based on an Open Source set of tools called Panotools.

Portable Songbird

Submitted by malikorx@gmail.com on February 3, 2008 - 4:03am

Before I go into any details, I would just like to say that yes, I know there have been several other posts about this particular program. But I am posting again because I would like to point out that Songbird is still in development and it is unlikely that a portable version can be made if there is no official release of the application yet. So for anyone who would like to request Songbird as a PortableApp, be patient and wait for them to work out the bugs.

Portable MIDI Sequencers

Submitted by eltonbrad on February 1, 2008 - 1:38pm

Hi everyone,

I was wondering, are there any MIDI sequencers that are Open Source that aren't text-based that can be made portable. Sometimes, I'd like to be able to go to someone's house and make MIDI files with it. It'll be good if it has a staff view, a piano roll and also tempo/transpose MIDI features.
