They need to make Google Earth portable
Saw this on Lifehacker this morning:
QTWeb, a WebKit-based browser, is seriously speedy, doesn't let its interface get in your way, and can blend into any Windows theme. More than that, though, it has a quick-fire privacy mode.
This cataloguer is promising but still in beta

Do you know any other program like this one ?
Hi sorry if I am wasting time, am totally new to the forum and a novice at prograamming. hence do not understand tech words. Have been using portable applications for some time and thinks they r gr8.
I wish if there was Portable chrome, as the browser seems to be quite fast. tried but couldnt find a reasonable safe and reliable portable chrome. so would be gr8ful if someone told me about whether chrome could be made portable.
eventually would want to learn how to make portable applications when time permits me.
thanks
regards
Epi Info is a free statistical analysis software package from CDC. I'm not good at programming, so I'm wondering how easy/hard it would be to make it portable. A lot of us Epidemiologists use it out on the field to create and analyze surveys and other statistical information. Some of the computers we use are IT-locked, and the Epi Info version on them is ancient. Plus, we can't take the computers into the field, or home, etc...
If anyone can make it portable, or teach me how to do it, please let me know.
The linux idea is great, but it has been taking a long time. So i have been thing that a virtual machine would be great. Probably like the program virtual box or QEMU.
In my younger days, I had bought a fairly low in size (2gb) flash drive, and I was wondering if there is some utility that would allow me to connect to an online storage manager. In other words, I am looking for a portable utility that would allow me to "upgrade" my flash drive storage capacity via connection to my online storage.
For example, box.net can be mounted as a hard drive though WebDav using the Windows http://techie-buzz.com/technology-buzz/mount-box.net-account-in-windows-...
I've been searching for a portable folder-tweaking apps. I've used to use modified bat script by cavedeamon (thanks a lot, dude!) and additional coding into the body of desktop.ini myself (like adding font color and stuff)
But it'll really helps if someone can help me making it as bat and portableapps (for compatibility reasons)
It should have at least these features:
Hello, i constantly use Drop box, to keep files in sync between multiple computers, and the ability to put files on my USB, and keep them in sync with files on my PC would be a really good idea i thing.

I'd like to use an NZB grabber like SABnzbd (opensource written in Python), for downloading from usenet. Their site is:
Might anyone else be interested? I've seen requests for GrabIt (www.shemes.com) but this isn't opensource, so no option.
I've got no experience in programming or modifying applications, so I hope to find someone interrested in this.
Cheers ya'll, Robert
