Portable Bookmarks Manager

Submitted by roddersg on April 5, 2006 - 11:48am

I know that this has been posted before, and I have searched that thread. However, most of the responses are for Firefox's Bookmarks.html synchronisation.

Can someone recommend me a small bookmarks manager, just to hold URL, keywords, Properties and date and allows some searching. It should be able to export to some file (e.g. csv, txt, xml or html).

At present I am using PowerMarks and have to remember to export it to the thumbdrive before I leave for office the next day.

Thanks

Rodders

Free Civ

If the whole separate GTK directory idea is actually implemented this would be a great game for someone to make a launcher for. Smile

FreeCiv

It's based off of the game Civilization and is open source! just an idea!

Portable GnuPG or similar

Submitted by asmith3006 on April 4, 2006 - 3:48am

Would it be possible to have a portable GnuPG or similar for use with Enigmail on Thunderbird?

Would be really cool to be able to have my encryption stuff with me.

Although, I'm not sure if you can copy keys from one machine/device to another... I'm pretty new to to whole thing.

Your thoughts and input appreciated.

Andrew.

SoulSeek

Soulseek(tm) is a unique ad-free, spyware free, and just plain free file sharing application.

I'm told it needs a registry entry:
because slsk uses a current user reg key to look for where the cfg files are. if the computer you are using doesn't have that reg key you'll get an error about not being installed correctly.

Is there a way around it?

Java

It sure would be nice to have Java Runtime and/or a Java plugin for Portable Firefox, especially for people who travel a lot (like me), and have to use Internet cafes. They rarely have it installed in the places I've gone to

Programmers Notepad

Submitted by PrinceTimothy on March 30, 2006 - 6:23pm

I have seen this program called Programmers Notepad, it is a great program however i would like to get it to be portable because its the best, lightweight programming/HTML/batch editor i have seen yet, it has full syntax hylighting and is very small in comparasin to most editors (it even supposrts UNIX text files, on windows). The thing is i need a way to get the seetings and store them to a file and have them loaded everytime the program starts as to make it fully portable. Would anyone be able to do it and if they won't then please share the knowledge so i could?
