Its a really nice collection of just a few, selected and good OS progs. Some of them are portable already, some are not. Perhaps its interesting for portableapps.com to port some of these....

Hi. I'd like to put forward my accounts software: Adminsoft Accounts

This is fully portable in that it will run off ZIP disk, USB stick, etc. It does not mess around with the registry, or require any DLL's to be installed in the Windows folder. There is one exception though, if you want to email directly from the accounts software, it does require DLL's installed (which it will do automatically, after asking the user if this is what they want to do).

I was wondering if anyone knows of a portable version of visual python. I have tried portable python but that only gives a cmd line version. The visual download doesn't seem to work when installed on the memory stick either.

Frostwire is an open source fork of limewire, the more popular P2P client. Frostwire was originally created to preserve certain aspects of limewire which may be removed due to content filtering, and has grown to support some of the features one must pay for in limwire pro. This would be a great App to be made portable, and there are no liscencing issues. I'm not sure how far this program diggs into a computer though.

I have the downloads and torrents default to "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents" folder so the main IO is on C:\ and not the flash drive. This works well for now, but how hard would it be to make this an official PortableApps version of µTorrent? Are there any licensing issues? could there be any performance increases with a customized PortableApps version?

Is there a portable/small CD/DVD authoring program that is capable of burning .ISO's like nero or poweriso? I would love to be able to download and burn a disk image, without installing any extra software to the host if possible.

Do any of the PortableApps play midi files? It doesn't look like Audacity or VLC do.

I have seen automatic optimization programs for firefox and other browsers
I ask Mr. John T. Haller to please create a Super Portablization optimizer for firefox on running on Usb to reset settings for updates and reset any memory using and nonrequired option to the most USB friendly possible of settings

please anyone who can contact Mr Haller please ask him to do this if youb like this Idea

Ok, so some of these are more important than others, and i'm sure most of you know of these but these open source programs need to be created or if they are already portble, then they need to be packaged as a PortableApps.com app. If you guys want a more complete set of needed portable apps, then many of these apps (which are much more important than a magnifying glass or portable command prompt) need to be added to the suite.

My list includes these 9 apps:

Can You make portable version of aqq? (www.aqq.eu) It is freeware. It is for Aqq, Tlen, Gadu-gadu, ICQ and spik servers. It has e-mail client and lots of functions...It has English and polish language pack. I cannot find English page, but I can give You link to download it: http://aqq.wapster.pl/download/getlastversion.aspx if problems in something in this application (how change language to English or translation in installation tell me).
