PortableApps.com Platform

Hello, I just made an account here but I've been using the PortableApps ecosystem for years now.

Recently however, I noticed that the PortableApps Updater is very slow at downloading the updates. At first, I thought it could be that the USB I'm using it on is slow but upon digging into it, I discovered the updater downloads the installers to the host PC's temp folder and the actual installation process is relatively fast to begin with anyway. It's the downloads that are slow.

After being updated from 28.0.0, I accidentally discovered this strange folder appearing in the installation directory.

It looks like there are some files for differential upgrades inside.

I use the latest Verison 28.0.1 on Win10 64bit.

When I upgrade the Platform (App Updates are fine) it is installed in the wrong path.
Current path to platform: C:\Portables\PortableApps.com\PortableAppsPlatform.exe
Path where updates are installed to: C:\PortableApps.com\PortableAppsPlatform.exe

So I have to move the files to the correct path manually. Not bad, but unnecessary.

Is there a way to change the installpath? Shouldn't the new version just be installed where the old version is?

Platform GUI Flickers In Linux "remmina" (an RDP client) session

I have my own web server.
How do I install or run Portableapps from there? Can I configure a web interface within tools that already exist, or do I build my own links?

I am a developer but instead of recreating the wheel, I thought I would ask..

Hello,

I have some feature requests for the upgrade process. It would be great if each update would

- install immediately after its download (and not after all other downloads have finished)
- not have to be downloaded again, if the installation didn't complete
- not have additional confirmations, if the PortableApps start menu was closed before the installation started

I see that FileAlyzer is running in Process Explorer, however, I cannot kill it. I got the following message:
ERROR TERMINATING PROCESS: ACCESS IS DENIED
I ran FileAlyzer as Administrator so why am I being denied access?

One of the portable applications that I have installed on the device I utilize to use the portableapps platform (128 GB SSD) is google chrome 64-bit. Instead of the browser remembering my login credentials, it seems like I have to submit my login credentials everytime I startup the portableapps platform. As I don't leave my windows 11 computer running all of the time, I'm wondering if that might possibly be what's causing my issue ? Thanks in advance for any help that might be provided.

I'm wondering if there's an easy way to delete the 32-bit files & folders in dual architecture apps when one is using exclusively 64-bit versions of apps & OS?
