Update keeps missing it somehow.

I'm using Portable Apps Version 2 Beta 5 Pre 2.

I have installed portable KeePass on my USB drive. When trying to access it on a remote pc it will say that the file is ot recognized and ask me to list a program to open it with. I must have botched the installation. help?

Hi. Is there a way to temporarily disable automatic app starting other than editing the ini and editing the contents of the [AppsAutoStart] section and reverting it afterwards?

I use PortableApps in multiple computers, however, on certain computers, I don't want the apps that are marked as "Start Automatically" to run.

i use a lot of portable apps.
for updating i am using the portable apps.com Updater.

unfortunately it is not possible to update the app "listary portable".
the updater shows me a "download error: file not found (404) on file http.//portableapps.com/bouncer...paf.exe".

how can i solve the problem?

If im building a fresh copy of the platform does the add programs function include the java runtime or just the launcher??

I have migrated almost fully to using portable apps for most of my software, and I use it in my PC.

I wanted to write a backup script to generate automated periodic backup of the data. Is there any way to use the portable apps platform's backup from the commandline?

I will also be happy with a 7zip script, and I almost got one -
7z.exe a -ms=off -mtc=on -up0q0z1 -r PortableAppsData "D:\Programs\PortableApps\*\*\Data"

Problem is that it also backs up any other data folder that might be present with an application (eg. with Inkscape).

wanting to know why I could not see my apps (was most confused) so now I'm wondering if there can be an option in the installers to use a defined location in the app directory, providing of course the menu is open.

I believe this would make it very easy to use particularly for non computer-savvy people such as myself.
