Can I use the appinfo.ini to append commandline arguments to an exe?
I haven't seen this posted anywhere, but I would like to know how to change the code for the portalapps program itself. I want to move some folders but since they are in the portableapps program, I would have to change the link between the side icon and the folder itself. Unfortunately, I am not a programmer and I would like to have some help with this. I use this on a 1TB external HD so I would like to be able to lay it out a specific way..All help is much appreciated.
I had an idea for the PortableApps Platform - how about you put in an installer like in Ubuntu (The ubuntu Software Installer/Synaptic Software Manager) so you can just install apps straight from the platform instead of having to go to the website?
Thanks,

I was recently creating an installer that had some post install code associated with it. It kept failing to compile because of the post install code. After some messing around with the code it turned out that the install code was formatted for unicode and while creating the installer this cause an error.
There has been a lot of talk about moving away from ANSI and towards unicode. Shouldn't the installer support unicode in the PortableApps.comInstallerCustom.nsh file?
Is it OK to install Suite on top of already installed (duplicate)apps that are already contained in the Suite? Will this cause an overwrite, a duplicate, or will the Suite installation auto-detect the already installed app and merge it into the menu?
I recently bought a 16GB flash drive and it takes 2+ minutes to search for apps each time.
I find this very frustrating and would like to see an option so that I can turn off the automatic search.
Thanks in advance.

SETTINGS:
* install PortableApp Platform v1.6 and few portable apps in a USB flash drive
* enable hidden Administrator Account in a Vista 32bit system (ref: tinyurl.com/yhqabzq)
Steps To Reproduce:
1. log into an User Account in Vista 32bit system that doesn't have the Administrator right
2. Open the Windows Task Manager > Performance tab to monitor the system's performance
3. Right click on Start and open Windows Explorer
4. plug-in the USB flash drive with pre-installed PortableApp package (see settings)
Actual Result:
1. Windows Explorer freezes up
I upgraded my Portable Apps platform to v1.6. Now, every time I start the Portable Apps platform, I see a progress bar in the left-hand-side menu for about 4-5 seconds after which time the list of my programs finally appears. This never happened with previous versions of the platform. I'm open to any suggestions for how to fix this.
As the title says, it would be handy to have an option to run the portable app after install for quick testing after installation.
