PortableApps.com Platform

I cannot install any portable apps that have been updated within the last two months.

I download the file, double click it to install, but nothing happens. I do not get the usual installation dialog box.

Are the installation files being packaged in a different way?

I do not have this problem with portable apps that have not been updated recently.

I'm running WinXP, with no .NET.

I am unable to eject my portable drive after closing the portable apps interface - I receive a "device still in use" error. This happens consistently on my Windows 7 desktop as well as one with Vista. There doesn't seem to be a problem with XP. I have to log out or shut down to safely remove my drive.

I installed the Portable apps platform 12.05 and the Portable Gimp app as instructed into my onedrive from my PC. Usin the platform on my PC works fine. I cannot get the platform or the Gimp apps to start from onedrive. I have loaded, removed, reloaded both many times with no results.
How can you use the apps on other computers or the cloud? I cannot find any exe files on the apps one onedrive to get it started.

I have installed the 2X RDP Portable App. I have configured some RDP-Session´s to my servers. When I start 2X RDP Portalble, there will be started all RDP-Session automaticly. But I want select ohne RDP-Session and start only the selected session.
Is there a way to fixthis issue?

I've been trying to leverage the Launcher.ini operations of PortableApps for easy file renaming and moving. However, I can't for the life of me figure out why my current, minimal, setup is not working as intended. I'm not interested in the app itself, more so the executing of the Launcher.ini.

Occasionally the platform will crash and I get this error.
"Cannot open file
X:\PortableApps\PortableApps.com\App\Graphics\MenuCategories\Other.png
The system cannot find the file specified."
It's certainly there, I've checked.
I have to restart my computer because the dialogue wont go away by closing it, another just pops up.
Sometimes I also get this dialogue box.
"frmDialogue
lblMessage
lblMessage2"
In a window with an okay button and cancel button, neither do anything.

I was wondering if it was possible to pin a Visual Basic script to the PortableApps launcher, and if so, how I might go about doing it.

I installed the portableapps.com at dropbox driver. I also installed portable apps that are not from portableapps.com at dropbox. Today, I want to use portabledapps.com at USB driver with the same apps that was installed at dropbox.

I think that is impossible to backup from dropbox then restore at USB driver. But I can't although I check "Complete (all file on your portable driver)" in backup window. The backup process was not complete.

I try to copy portableapps.com then paste to USB driver but it is very slow and I do not believe that is the right way.

I would like to run a portable app with arguments using shortcuts but i have some path issues.
I'm on windows 7 and i downloaded a program from https://portableapps.com/apps.

I since yesterday I was not able to launch the following Java apps:

• ProjectLibre Portable
• Freeplane Portable
• Eclipse Portable

This happened after upgrading to jPortable 8 Update 40. It was just the portable launchers, I could still start the apps by double clicking the executables in the subdirectory of App.
After downgrading to jPortable 8 Update 31 the problem disappeared.
Something not correct in release of jPortable 8 Update 40?
