Portable apps

Submitted by XxXshadowXxX on September 29, 2009 - 5:19pm

Hello, i love the portableapps setup, but i was wondering if there is a way to get limewire and other programs for the portableapps setup. I used to run the U3 system on my 16gb sandisc and i found this system and i without regret uninstalled U3 and installed portableapps. however, the difference between U3 and this system is that i have found a program to convert other programs into .U3P formatt for the U3 system. is there a program that can do the same for portableapps?

I have a company laptop that has Windows Harddisk protection turned on. I can install things, but when I reboot the laptop, everything is wiped out. I have a sprint aircard that I would like to make the Sprint Smartview app and make it portable so I don't have to re-install it everytime I want to use it. Can anyone help me?

First of all, yes, I searched before posting this - I just didn't find what I need. So here goes...

I'm looking for a Windows Explorer alternative (NOT replacement; Explorer can stay. NOT supplement; I want something totally separated from Explorer) with the following features...
* Totally portable
* Tabbed interface (i.e. can open multiple folders in multiple tabs)
* Applications sidebar/toolbar/dock/menu (sort of like the Start Menu)
