Hi I have found that when i installed a program called metasploit onto my ipod that it doesnt work with out computers. I was hoping that some one would be able to develop this as a portable application. I would greatly appritiate it if some one would be able to make this program as a portable application. The link for the program I would like as a portable application is as followed... http://www.metasploit.com/projects/Framework/downloads.html

OK, this is a tool that *has* to be made portable, all you really have to do is contact the guy who made the program on their website. (http://users.pandora.be/ahmadi/nettools.htm) This is a must have portable app! It is a very good app for those of you in the security field and for those of us who would just like to make things more secure.

And here's just a small sample of stuff you can do with it.

1) IP Address Scanner
2) IP Calculator
3) IP Converter
4) Port Listener
5) Port Scanner
6) Ping
7) NetStat (2 ways)
8) Trace Route (2 ways)
9) TCP/IP Configuration

A Few Requests

I am a computer technician and there are a few programs that I use on computers to either identify the hardware in it or optimize it so that it runs faster.

PerfectDisk:
A disk defragmenter. Either this or a similar program, such as Diskeeper.

DriverHeaven TuneXP 1.5 Final:
An optimization utility. This way I can take it with me and instead of installing it on each computer that I repair, I can run it directly from my thumb drive.

Wrapper for an already portable app?

Submitted by akb on April 11, 2007 - 7:15pm

Hi there,

I want to create a CD-ROM based on a portable web server and have a problem with Windows Vista. The portable web server (Server2go) crashes if it is not launched as an admin, so it's needed to force a UAC dialog for running it from autostart in Vista.

My idea now is to create an NSIS wrapper dialog, that forks the Server2go launcher, so if the wrapper dialog causes a UAC verification the server will start correctly.
