Hi, this is my first post here. Microsoft Office OneNote 2007 is great software. Although there are many soft like OneNote but I don't think there is any that could replace OneNote. OneNote is extremely convenient as a personal database/knowledge base, article digest, project planning, mind mapping, etc. Most important of all it suports Unicode perfectly. I tried to make it portable but failed. I searched for Portable OneNote but got nothing.
Could anyone make that portable?
This is a handy Certification Authority application. Ilike keeping the CA database on removable storage for security reasons, and would love for the managing application for that database to be on that storage as well.
As best as I can tell from looking at the source, there is one registry key used read-only, that is set in the installer (the location of where the app is installed). Since, in the absence of this key, the value defaults to the executable's path at runtime, this seems like it may magically work as-is without modifying the app at all.
Program:Babya bSuite to Go
License: Open Source/GPL
Description: A ultra-small intergrated office suite-less than 100kb
Website: http://www.softpedia.com/get/PORTABLE-SOFTWARE/Office/Suites-editors/Win...
Other: Made by me-smaller installed size than currently included OpenOfice.org.Needs VB6 runtimes-but all recent versions of Windows already have that installed.
One tool I would like to see added is the Vim text editor - http://www.vim.org/
Would this be possible?
PortableApps is great.
Thanks

Okay, I found a bit of info on make Komodo Edit run off a flash drive, but it's way way to big, so I'm curious whether someone could make a compressed version + remove the need for opening command prompt to execute it.
Program: Komodo Edit
License: Free, based on Mozilla lib's so should be under same licensing.
Description: Advanced text edit with syntax highlighting, autocompletion of language specific keywords, ability to have addons ect. (not sure if it's exactly the same as Nvu.)
i want programe like deepfreeze. i want to freeze my flashdrive.
sorry for my very poor at english
I was checking out portablefreeware.com and I saw an open source program that looks interesting.
It's a mouse gesture program called Rocker.
It looks fairly straight forward to set up portably already, but is there any way to have a portable installer

Hi there
I am travelling a lot, and at the same time plays backgammon in some high stakes matches. I use this program to analyze my play, or just for practice.
Its free, and its very very strong, its analyzing parts is just as good as the programs that costs 500$
So may I suggest this added to the portable apps?
It would be nice to have a file sync utility. Something that keeps track of what files are associated with what computers and such. Maybe do an auto sync (except for changes on both locations, then you would pick which one, or manually merge them).
