WAtomic

Here is a request for a little edutainment game.
It is described on it's homepage as "logic-puzzle game" and started as KAtomic clone. It is Open source and uses the GPL license. It looks pretty portable and runs from portable devices. All it probably needs is a pretty PAM wrapper and some checking wether it uses the registry.
In a space restricted by blocks you have to assemble molecules by moving the detached atoms around. It's quite fun and educational without lecturing so almost a must have for responsable "grownups" who whant to coax kids into chemistry Wink

Google Docs Offline

Ok - I have searched the forums, and don't see an answer, so here goes:

Now that Google Docs has off-line sync, I wonder about using it with Firefox Portable?

If I install the google gears add-on to FF Portable, will this install and direct all my google doc sync to the thumb drive? This would be excessively useful: to be able to sync online, plug into an offline computer, work on the google docs, and next time I plug in to an online computer, it syncs again...

Common Windows Settings

Ok this should be easy enough for someone to make. I picture a GUI with checkboxes for various Windows settings that a portableapps user might want changed. You would check the settings you want. When the app starts it would backup the hosts settings for these items and apply the "portable" ones, on exit it would restore the host.

My first settings ideas are...

  • Hide Desktop Icons
  • Autohide Taskbar
  • On Top for Taskbar
  • Show Hidden Files
  • Show/Hide Extensions

Everyone feel free to suggest more settings ideas.

Ditto Portable?

Submitted by jr2 on June 4, 2008 - 9:48pm

Hey,
Ditto is an extension to the Windows Clipboard. You copy something to the Clipboard and Ditto takes what you copied and stores it in a database to retrieve at a later time.

I think it has a portable version already done, but I'm not sure if it's ready to be included as a PortableApp or not? Or if it's even feasible. Anyways, thought I'd drop you the link:

Thx,
