RapGet

Submitted by clookie on February 21, 2008 - 6:30am

Hi i wonder if it would be possible to make rapget fully compatible on a single usb stick

http://www.rapget.com

that way I can continue my rapidshare downloads at any time and any place
the problem is the following:

rapget itself doesn't need no installation so it can be perfectly run on a usb stick
the problem is that it needs openssl installed
http://www.1-clickshare.com/download.php?file=1e0e1fbd0deaef2f1dbd5a96e6...
which I wouldn't know how to "install" it on my usb stick...
if anyone could help me about this if this is already possible I'd be glad too!!

grtz

Hello everyone, this is my first post here. Before I post my request I'd like to say that this looks like a great community and I look forward to some great portable apps in the future.

I conducted a search but received so many unrelated hits that I could not determine my answer. I also may have over looked the obvious and if this is the case please point me in the right direction.

Cain and Abel portable?

Submitted by theprodigy on February 17, 2008 - 8:54pm

I'd like it if somebody could refer me to an installer or package for Cain and Abel which can be run from a USB flash disk... I've tried the portable Cain and Abel tutorials, but they don't work still. If anybody has had success with it, can you upload it somewhere and give me a download link?

Thanks in advance! Smile

Encryption

Submitted by PatrickP61 on February 15, 2008 - 2:20pm

Hi All,

I am an avid listener of the Podcast Security Now! with Steve Gibson and Leo Laporte. In episode SN-130 at 01:01:53 (about two thirds through at www.twit.tv/sn ), Steve suggests using AxCrypt, however, that must be installed in windows.

But in the same discussion, Steve also suggests Omziff as a freestanding executeable standalone encryption application. It can be run from any thumbdrive and is currently hosted at www.xtort.net/xtort-software .

The neat thing about AxCrypt is its ability to create a self-extracting encrypted file!
