DVD player software
Is it possible to have a portable DVD player that will run completely off USB flash drive? If so, anyone know of a solution thats already out there or being worked on?
Moving PowerDVD over to the drive didn't work out.

Hey,
I just downloaded Bit Comet, a useful application for downloading Bt Torrent files. This was installed directly to my iPod and it works without any modifications.
Maybe this can go on the list of portable apps?
Here is a good extension for Firefox that allows you to play several card games. The extension is aptly named "Cards".

Anyone know of any document archiving system similar to the mercury document system from essentialskills?
I ues Foxit Reader for PDF viewing.

Any other ones out there, and we make Foxit smaller?
I have been using Irfanview (see www.irfanview.com)
for many years. I have used it on my USB stick without
a problem. None of the needed files have to be on the
hard drive. It is a small app with powerful viewer
abilities and with its ability to modify and convert
images, it is "ready to go!"
I suggest that PortableApps.com seek it out!
If anybody has the time.
cuz it will more or less the same thing as firefox.

Process Explorer - shows running processes and allow killing them
Hello,
it would be nice to synchronize the clock on every computer.
The Windows time service is scriptable, but it does not work with proxies or firewalls blocking port 123.
So is there a small time sync utility without installation with proxy / firewall settings or even recognition?
With (updateable) Time Server list for different countries?
And maybe useable from the command line?
Best regards,
René
