Portable App Development

Hello!

I have in my memory stick, along with the Portables Apps Launcher, a couple of other portable software I downloaded from their developer's websites already that way.

Since I don't have to make them portable first, how should I proceed to make them available/install in the Portable Apps menu?
It would be nice to have them there because I wouldn't need to go to different folders every time. Thanks!

I was wondering if there's any plans to create a version of the portable apps system for mac? that would be really cool if so! thanks

Ich habe den Windows10-Client der Brettspielwelt.de mit cameyo in eine portablen App umgewandelt.

Nun wollte ich diese App bei PortableApp mit einbinden.

Ich hatte bereits die JREs bei PortableApp installiert.

Beim Aufruf vom Client wird aber gemeldet, dass JRE benötigt wird.

Wie muss ich jetzt die Appinfo.ini und ggfs. noch weiter (ini-)Dateien erstellen, die noch nicht vorhanden sind, die ich zur Benutzung mit PortableApp benötige?

Die installierten JRE kann ich nicht seperat starten sondern nur per App-Aufruf.

Based on Free Download Managers website (https://www.freedownloadmanager.org/board/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=17900) the latest version (v6.10.0.3016 [Jun 5, 2020] STABLE) is portable and completely rebuilt compared to the 3.9 version we use now.

I suggest it should be updated the program to the latest version on portableapps.com.

Is it possible to port the source code to GitHub?
Will attract more developer to this project,
Also download and update will be more faster?
Currently source forge don't fast like it was use to be.

I am trying to create a portableapp that has multiple launcher .exes.
I have got everything working previously by making a separate appinfo.ini for each one and compiling them one at a time but I want to do it the proper way since I use a custom.nsh and I don't have to go trough that everytime I change something.
I have all the launcher.ini's set up and it all works as it's supposed to.
I set up the appinfo.ini as specified in the format. However, when I try to compile it, only the first Icon gets compiled.

(Only DOOM.exe appears.)

my launcher (made with Portableapps.com launcher generator) runs AutoHotkey.exe
if another instance of AutoHotkey.exe is running then this launcher does not close
it copies registry settings back to \Data folder as it should but stays open according to windows task manager

how can I make it close without closing other instance of AutoHotkey.exe?

I have read the instruction, but there is a thing I can't understand...
I'm trying to readdress the folder C:\ProgramData to MyApp/ProgramData.

CommandLineArguments=--ProgramData-directory=%PAL:DataDir%\ProgramData

Is CommandLineArguments the right command?
How can I call C:\ProgramData?

The portable versions of iTunes (32 & 64 bit).
Just open iTunes.exe and it'll work portable.

I don't know if it is a PortableApp problem or app problem.
I run FoxitReaderPortable.exe
RightClick on the taskbar button to pin the program to taskbar.

The problem:
The program that is actually pinned to taskbar (for the next launch), it is not the portable exe.
This is what pinned:
"...\FoxitReaderPortable\App\Foxit Reader\FoxitReader.exe"
