Portable App Development

When I plug in PAM 1.1, it displays the PAM wallpaper as Stretch. The original wallpaper that is in the desktop is set to Center. Even when I change the wallpaper mode to Center, it doesn't change dimensions.
When I manually change it to Center, then exit and reinsert PAM 1.1 it is back to Stretch.
Is there a default setting that I can change to make it stay Center, or if it will use the setting that is on the desktop?

i want to develop linux portable portable but i would like some help as i am not a programmer by trade. i think that ubuntu is the best one for the portable application i know most of delvlopers will have linux any way because it is the industery standard.

Hi everyone, I was wondering if anybody can help me with making SpeedCommander portable.

The program does two things, it writes the registered owner details to the registry under HKLM and the settings are stored in a folder inside %appdata%

Can somebody please write up a quick nsi file which will show me how to do those things or point me to the right directions please.

I've been building a portable app..n

And i have everything working except 1 (ONE!) HKLM registry key.
Is there a way to make such a registry key portable?

I just got wraithdu's EraserDropTarget, and it lead me to the idea for a drop target for ClamWin.

Anyone want to make that work? I picture a target you drop a file on, it sends to Clamwin, if no virus is found it closes Clamwin, if one is found it waits for Clamwin to deal with it then closes Clamwin. Would that be possible?

As most of you are aware Blender 2.46 was released the other day. I am looking at putting some time aside at the weekend to prep a new release. I have a few queries that I will post later for discussion.

The current Miro Portable (v 0.9.8.1) from Ryan McCue's website has some big errors (leaves half of the profile folder in the host computer, therefore cannot save settings) would anyone be willing to up date his launcher, or does anyone have any work-around suggestions (batch file suggestions?), or even help me fix it on my own?
