The Java JDK
Are there any plans to make a portable Java JDK available?
The extra tools and such it includes are quite useful for portable Java development.

Just a small hint to the development-team of Thunderbird portable - related to the functionality of Adobe Acrobat Pro:
Acro Pro offers a quickly way to sent the current opened PDF's via email. Therefore you just have to select file/sent as email and then Acro opens the current Mail-Client and attaches the PDF automatically - very practicable and very, very quick!!!
But it does not work with the portable editions :-(((
I wanted to give the discussion from here a proper thread.
Regarding the possibility to us the server component of AssaultCube, I have a couple of questions:
Do both server and client have to be run simultaneously on the same machine?
Does anyone know what files the server needs?

Hello,
is it possible to get an install/update log with the new portable application install program? I would like to be able to review what happened during the install and update process. This should be integrated into the installer, so that a log is available for every application distributed here (all new ones).
I downloaded the sources of PartableApps.com Platform and I know how to compile them.
When I compile the platform I have : "[Fatal Error] dialog.pas (7): File not found: 'pngimage.dcu' "
Hi everybody,
I really like the favorites function. Would it be possible to split the portable apps menu into a favorites area with 5 entries, scrolling possible, and a normal program area? It would be very helpful.

TeamViewer v5.1.9192 is out since 2010-09-21.
May I suggest some improvements to whoever currently develops the offical PA.c version?
The currently available version 5.1.9160 can leave traces in the host system's registry at:
HKCU\Software\Teamviewer\Version5.1\ HKLM\Software\Teamviewer\Version5.1\
Also, the "TeamViewer.ini" file is kept in three places:
App\DefaultData\settings\TeamViewer.ini App\teamviewer\TeamViewer.ini Data\settings\TeamViewer.ini
As I create the app using the installer I get an error:
...
SetDetailsPrint: both
DetailPrint: "$InstallingStatusString"
SetDetailsPrint: ListOnly
!insertmacro: _EndIf
!insertmacro: end of _EndIf
File: failed creating mmap of "..\..\NWM2011x64Portable.exe"
Error in script "G:\Program Files\Autodesk\Autodesk 2011\Navisworks Manage 2011\Other\Source\PortableApps.comInstaller.nsi" on line 901 -- aborting creation process
Can anyone please help me with this I'm new to creating PortableApps?
Thanks.
Hey guys,
I have a few apps that require multiple launchers quite like has been done in open office and am wondering if the same is possible with the PAL?
I am aware that the launchers in OO.org are done straight from the NSIS code, but its worth a try asking isn't it?
Also, if it isn't possible, will it be implemented in future versions of the PAL?
Many thanks,
Shane Thompson
How can I do this? I have looked over the forums and haven't found solutions that work. I don't really know what I should post. I have come no closer to finding a solution by myself... So I am turning towards you guys.
Thanks,
Brian
