Web site - unable to logout

Submitted by FKlusmann on September 15, 2021 - 4:42pm

I tried to log out by clicking the "Log Out" in the page header. I am redirected to "https://portableapps.com/user/logout"
That page says Access denied - You are not authorized to access this page.

The Back button shows that I am still online. I'd give a screenshot if I see how to upload it.

UltraDefrag boot time defrag option greyed out

Submitted by Jasmines21 on August 18, 2021 - 4:32pm

Hi, just to mention in case not known about - on my Win 10 system the option for boot time defrag is greyed out (and not available) when the app is run though PortableApps.

However, the option is available both when the app is installed into windows, and in the standard portable version from here.

Thank you!

[Fixed] Google Chrome Portable not passing links longer than about 1k

Submitted by notech on August 12, 2021 - 1:29pm

I set google chrome portable as my default browser. When you click a link outside, like in your email client, the link will be directed to google chrome portable. One thing really annoys me is when the length of the hyperlink exceeds 1024 (I guess?), it will trim the string automatically. In current days, the length can easily exceed 1024. Any suggestion to work around this?

Launching PortableApps starts InkscapePortable.

Submitted by FOS on August 9, 2021 - 8:21pm

After a recent Portableapps / automatic apps update.
every time I launch PortableApps from my portable hard drive one of the apps launches automaticly ( inkscape)
Not sure if this is a bug or some setting I have touched.

Removing Inkscape and re-installing it via "get more apps" dose not fix the issue.

Minimum version requirement question (new dev here)

Hello & good day! New fellow developer here with some quick questions Smile

Most of my apps never write to registry and are -in general- contained into a single folder (ApplicationName.exe + a .dll here & there).

As I get it, the gist of publishing around is to make the application work into your installer… correct? i.e. only proper submissions using portableapps.com format.
