Hi friends Good Morning.
Wishing You all a very cool weekend.
I am varad from India & this is my first post.
I am trying to create portable applications of some common utilities and softwares which will save installation / activation time.
I tried vmware Thinapp and cameyo , both are creating apps but Thinapp creates very large sized app. Typically a 50MB sized installation when converted to portable gets expaned to 600Mb in size. So its of no use as it lacks portability. I think I am not making right selection of options.

It looks like there's a licensed version of Delphi that can be used by the community to help build the platform again. Delphi Community Edition 10.3 should let developers build the current platform from source. The current platform is built with Delphi Professional 10.2.

Any idea how I disable the Thunderbird splash screen? I have these ini files:

ThunderbirdPortable\Other\Source\ThunderbirdPortable.ini
ThunderbirdPortable\ThunderbirdPortable.ini

Both have 'DisableSplashScreen' set to true, but it doesn`t work, the splash screen still appears.

The ini file seems to work for all other apps, just not TB.

Currently in PortableApps Version 3.6 of Gnucash is existing.

But there is already a Version 3.7 available on source of the program.

Can someone take care about including it in portable.apps ?

... there is a new fix for european banking since 09.09.2019 and the aqbanking component is required that it can be used with the new banking interfaces and strong 2 factor authentication.

It would really help much if someone can care about an update

I have an application that uses 4 execute files
However trying to use portable installer dose not
allow that.
I do not know what to do
Any help will do

a portable application with multiple exe ?

Further more trying to use the application with one exe
Give me a CLOSE application on error.
I wish i new what is wrong. I think i do not use the program
as the developer intended .

I'm trying to pack my app into a Portable version of it and whilst I setup the dir tree along with some minimal settings in appinfo.ini and in Launcher/AppPortable.ini based on the help pages here in PortableApps.com I can't get the portable apps launcher to create a launcher for my app.

The error is as follows

since Bart.S can no more work on creating MuseScore 3.x PortableApp (because Windows XP support was dropped by the underlying Qt infrastructure), I tried to step in and automatize the creation of the PortableApp for MuseScore future releases.
I think I managed to find and modify all the parts in the code which lead to saving files in user or system data folders and redirect them to the PortableApp folder. However, I still have a problem with Qt registry keys.

The above mentioned programs do not work on Windows PE.

They complain of missing DLLs.

Other apps (ex: Audacity) work fine.

Shouldn't a portableapp not require any other files except for those included in its folder?
