Portable App Development

Hi. I have a program on my pc that I use at school. Its called Pcschematic and it is a CAD-program. Is it possible for me to convert the .exe file to a .paf??
Hope for ansvers.

Some packages - maybe it´s directx or redistributables - just favors using the drive with the biggest space as temp data folder without any permission and sometimes the temp data is just left there. Maybe PortableApps with admin permission could prevent sneaky crap happening to the external drives

Was wondering if any time Their will be Support for 64 bit
launcher. I know About custom .nsh ,but this is pretty advanced.
and having trouble on were to start, the learning cure.

it seems that when i first started to make PAF's Reading, vs making it happen was very hard. I made it past that hump and it all seems
very simple now.

does any one have any advice on learning how to incorporate
a custom.nsh file "in Laymen s terms" Maybe.

In the Language variable values table, the LocaleID for both English and Luxembourgish are 1033.
Is there any error?

I just made a cool little App I call it "PAF Template Maker"
all you do is run it, type your "Name" enter
and it will put a new template on your desktop.

#1 your folder is pre-edited "NamePortable"
#2 your Launcher .ini is Pre-edited "NamePortable.ini"
#3 your Appinfo .ini is pre-edited "Appinfo.ini
and filled out with "Names"

your good to go...saves time, also the Launcher.ini
is pre filled out with some of the most common stuff
just a quick edit...

We're thinking about making one of our freeware applications a PortableApps-compatible. The only problem we've been faced so far is what to do with the automatic update function. Our application checks for update and offers to switch to the newer version, if any. Being launched from PortabeApps, should I disable the automatic update function or there are better options?

Question 2. It seems that PortableLauncher automatically restores some registry keys not specified in the settings, for example it recovers the below key if it was removed during the PortableLauncher execution:

Some apps when installed have Drag and Drop for like photos and such.
but when made portable do not have this feature anymore.

does any one know how this could be implemented.
I think that it is a .reg key, that will do the trick not sure
if so is their a main area of the registry they tend to be in?
