Portable App Development

I would like to know, how can I create a portable apps program. would you have a step by step tutorial?

Hello, I'm trying to make a portable CDisplayEx app. And unfortunately i can't. The program is very simple, and i used total uninstall to track all the files that program creates during installation. But at the end, when I try to run portableapps launcher I'll have this error:
" ERROR: C:\Users\Admin\Desktop\Project\App\AppInfo\appinfo.ini doesn't exist! "
The thing is - I have appinfo.ini in that folder.
What the magic here? Can anybody help?

I'm using the Application Template 3.5.2. I used the launchergenerator to create a working .exe file. Next I run the installer to create a .paf. Which fails. The log says:


ERROR: No appicon_16.png in PortableApps.com_Application_Template_3.5.2\AdvancedRenamerPortable\App\AppInfo.
ERROR: No appicon_32.png in PortableApps.com_Application_Template_3.5.2\AdvancedRenamerPortable\App\AppInfo.
ERROR: AppInfo.ini - Control - Start=AdvancedRenamer.exe, file is missing.

But...

It would be a great feature if the platform would indicate exactly how many apps are installed.

I have a 32-bit program that, for some reason, will NOT install or run in x64 is there a way to encapsulate the 32-Bit environment so this software can be used on a 64-bit system?

I have in my memory stick, along with the Portables Apps Launcher, a couple of other portable software I downloaded from their developer's websites already that way.

Since I don't have to make them portable first, how should I proceed to make them available/install in the Portable Apps menu?
It would be nice to have them there because I wouldn't need to go to different folders every time. Thanks!

I was wondering if there's any plans to create a version of the portable apps system for mac? that would be really cool if so! thanks

Ich habe den Windows10-Client der Brettspielwelt.de mit cameyo in eine portablen App umgewandelt.

Nun wollte ich diese App bei PortableApp mit einbinden.

Ich hatte bereits die JREs bei PortableApp installiert.

Beim Aufruf vom Client wird aber gemeldet, dass JRE benötigt wird.

Wie muss ich jetzt die Appinfo.ini und ggfs. noch weiter (ini-)Dateien erstellen, die noch nicht vorhanden sind, die ich zur Benutzung mit PortableApp benötige?

Die installierten JRE kann ich nicht seperat starten sondern nur per App-Aufruf.

Based on Free Download Managers website (https://www.freedownloadmanager.org/board/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=17900) the latest version (v6.10.0.3016 [Jun 5, 2020] STABLE) is portable and completely rebuilt compared to the 3.9 version we use now.

I suggest it should be updated the program to the latest version on portableapps.com.
